KAS and EVAs

I love how KAS now allows you to store stuff in containers and when on EVA you can remove and replace parts... except not everything.

For instance:

I made a ship with a radial docking port, and just below that I put 4 R8 winglets, but didn't realize one of them would essentially block a ship from the port. I launched that ship; I then saw my error.

I launch an edited version that only has 2 winglets, and figured I'd see what happens when I docked them. Sure enough it wouldn't dock the way I wanted. So I EVA'd, and then discover I can remove other parts like RCS blocks, but not the winglets.

Why is this?

Guess I need to learn how to edit the persistence file.

In the KAS folder there is a .cfg labeled admodule i believe. Open this and look how the present modules are wtitten. Copy a present module line and replace the part name with that of the one you want to add. So find the winglets in gamedata and open its .cfg. It's has two names. The apparent name and an ID of sorts. You want to add that ID into admodule.

Sry I'm away from my pc so that's the best I can explain it.
