Tetrarch Space Shuttle

By Zokesia Skunkworks

Meet the Tetrarch Space Shuttle! A reliable ship based off NASA's STS program, able to carry 5 tons of Payload to LKO. It will work every time ,but I highly suggest reading my manual HERE. It is important as the ship is very quirky and difficult to fly if you have no idea how it works. So read it, then enjoy this beautiful ship.

The nose looks a little weird and the cargo bay looks a bit small, but it is still awesome, simply because it is a space shuttle! You could also make slanted main engines and have separate burn engines, since I believe that is how the real shuttle (and the ones I am working on) work. That reminds me, I have to get back to the Kettysburg and Keburan programs. Still looks pretty and I bet flies better than any shuttles I make

Thanks!

Here is a typical mission.

STS-4 Marked a huge plus for the Tetrarch Space Shuttle Program. The Orbiter Hancock II was able to put a 5.75 ton, two peice Interplanetarry Probe into LKO, assemble it there, and return home and land of the small rural strip East of KSC.

Safe and sound. Another perfect mission. All fuel was spent, 30% RCS remained. A very tight but fuel efficient craft.

Nice shuttle. Better than I could do.

Something else, do you watch Twitch KSP streamers? If so, have you seen EJ_SA? Because he makes insanely awesome heavy lifting shuttles with working cargo bay doors, I think you could steal, erm... use some of his techniques if you want to call them that.

I know but mine is left open for two reasons:

1) It is simpler to use no doors at all, in both use and part count

2) Doors=wings and wings=lift. The Shuttle is already slightly tail heavy and prototype tests showed that it helped to have no wings forward like that. so, the doors were scrapped. It still looks good and carries a good payload, and flies really well.

Oh ok :D I have seen them they are cool!

Mission!

STS-6 was wonderful. The Orbiter Ward performed beautifully. This was the first mission with a Tetrarch-II Orbiter, which removed two of the mini engines and added IVA to the ship, which was wonderful.

My shuttle kind of flies like this:

I didn't fly it very well this time because I forgot to turn on fine controls. Otherwise, it would have been quite smooth.

Also, the 180 degree roll at 4:25 is not necessary, but I wanted the flight to be as realistic as possible.
