Science and Spaceflight

Okay, so here is an idea I have had, not sure if anyone else has covered it in the forum. I think that spaceflight firsts should yield science as a 1 time bonus. The difficulty of the first determines how many science points get awarded. I have a list, please let me know if I should add more

First craft out of the atmosphere: 3 science

First craft to orbit: 10 science

First orbit of a moon of Kerbin: 12 science

First landing on Mun and Minmus: 20 science each

First rendezvous: 9 science (the small number is due to the early possibility of getting this one)

First docking: 50 science

First Space Station: 40 points (this one must have no fuel storage or engines, be able to support at least 4 crew, and be labeled as a station)

First Multi-Kerbal vessel: 30 points

First Station orbiting a body other than Kerbin: 50 points

First orbit of a non-Kerbin SOI planet or body: 150 points

First recovery from a non Kerbin SOI body: 100 points per body visited

First landing on a non Kerbin SOI body excluding Jool and future gas giants: 200 points

First Craft to enter space and land on the runway without a parachute: 150 points

First craft to take off from the runway and enter space: 100 points

First craft to take off from the runway and enter an orbit with a PE>70km: 300 points

First SSTO Spaceplane to enter orbit (PE>70km) and return to kerbin with a partcount equal to the take off part count: 600 points

These are just the ones I thought of that would be easily doable from a computer programming standpoint. Post if you have other ideas

I think once the mission system gets implemented, going to new planets will give you money.

Having a science reward wouldn't really make much difference; you'd get a lot more by doing experiments, anyway.

They have that, I believe. Check in the list when you recover a flight. It should say something like: Recovered a flight from X place -then list out some science gains.

right, but what I am suggesting is a onetime bonus relative to the difficulty of the task independent of the diminishing science gains
