Science Part: Magnetic Field Mapper

Recommended Posts

I think a magnetic field mapper would be cool so we can see Kerbin's magnetic field, as well as all the other planets' magnetic fields. We could use these to generate science reports, like around Duna, the report could be like, "So THAT'S why Duna's atmosphere is so thin!", but you would have to discover the solar (or should I say, Kerbolar?) wind first. Then, if you mapped the sun's, you could then detect the edge of the heliosphere, and send a probe like Voyager 1 into interstellar space to investigate it. Tell me your opinion.

Fyi, the star kerbin orbits is oficially called sol, so it is in fact solar winds.

From the KSP Wiki:

Kerbol (officially called the Sun, and also known as the Star) is the central star of the Kerbol System. Five planets are known to orbit it: Moho, Eve, Kerbin, Duna and Jool and two dwarf planets Eeloo and Dres.
