Help PLEASE!!

Recommended Posts

Just spent ages getting to my first orbit, then for some reason the game decided to switch its focus on a piece of debris?? Why I dont know, so I go on a painstaking journey of trying to find the key bindings to get back to my ship... NO DARN LUCK.... everytime I try to set my ship as a target i get told that I cant because vessel is over surface..!! I enjoy this game but it can be so frustrating when this happens as i had no option but to shut the game down as i could not do anything with it... No exit button not nothing.. What gives any help would be appreciated...

something similar happened to me when i was time-warping. My ship actually crashed into a planet but left a "ghost" in the map view. The only way i could fix it was to go to the space station and delete the ship. Fortunately, it was a kethane probe that had finished its job for the most part...

...i never figured out why the orbit changed...<shrug>....

You must be dealing with the kraken.

Fear the kraken.

This game is still in alpha, the kraken sometimes has the upper hand.

(PS, if you dont know what the kraken is, http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Kraken)

Not knowing exactly what's causing your problem, you could try this:

1. Press 'm' to enter map mode.

2. Move your cursor to the center-top of the screen and a panel will slide into view. You can use this to display different kinds of objects.

3. From that panel, click on the capsule icon and now you should should see the ship you lost.

4. Click on that ship and switch to it.

If that doesn't work, go back to the tracking station and you should be able to see your ship listed in the left hand column.
