Tonight, at 11:13 PST, from Vandenburg Air Force Base, an Atlas V 501 will lift off from SLC-3E with the NROL-39 satellite!

I think launching the Kracken into space is a violation of international law by "weaponizing" space.

Edit: I doubt it, but will I be able to see it where I live in Maryland?

Sorry dude, but VAFB is in central-southern California.

Bring a camera when you go out, just in case? It might be able to see more than you can with the naked eye.

If you're trying to watch it, this should give you a rough indication of where to look;

It's the exclusion zone for the launch itself, first stage drop zone and fairing drop zone. Ignore the line already there, the path'll be right down the middle.

So they are launching to the west. It makes sense. They don't want anything falling on land. I wasn't expecting to see it here any way.

Anyone found a live stream yet?

Not sure how much of the launch will be shown, but the site the OP posted has live updates.

Usually during launches like this, they'll only show the initial launch and cut the feed prior to payload fairing separation.

EDIT: Hehe, I saw it. It was a MASSIVE fireball in the sky that started turning into a red dot. You could see a small smoke trail emanating from the nozzles, like on the Saturn V when it was ascending.
