The Old KSP Builds

Recommended Posts

I got Kerbal Space Program in .14 and I played every version. Whenever a new update would come out, I usually would transfer my save and delete the core game in exchange for the updated version. This means I don't have any of the old updates. I remember those being really fun with Moho having an atmosphere. I know the website has the previous download before the current one. Do you think it would be possible for all the old updates to be put up on the download page? Before the forum crash I saw a thread with all the really old builds like .8-.13.3 but I can't seem to find it, anyways I was just wondering if this was possible. Thanks.

I think it'd be neat to have something like that, or at least a showcase of neat things from old patches. Another cool thing would be wiki entries with attributes and change lists for each update, so that people wanting to experience them again could adjust their game with an addon or by altering the game files - for instance putting an atmosphere on Moho to simulate the old atmosphere it used to have, but allowing modern ships to fly in it.

This gets asked at least once a month. Often even more frequently in that thread there ^^^^

The plan was, last I heard anything on the matter, to release a sort of "collectors edition", with all (or at least most) of the old versions, after the game is deemed "finished". I've heard conflicting views from the devs as to whether or not we'd need to pay for it if we want all the old versions, but I guess we'll see when or if it happens.

Apart from that, any versions 0.14 and above are illegal to distribute as they are versions which required purchase.

They're already up -- http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/24858-Old-versions-of-KSP-(some-versions-still-wanted!)

So nope, not illegal, since they were distributed as freeware up to 0.13.3.

I think they are missing a version or two, but you can add that to that thread there. :)

Mac versions are missing more than PC ones, it seems.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
