mrdogfood
I know this is probably going against the forum rules, but after having read the wiki article on multiplayer, I came up with this solution to the problem with time warp.Server verified local warp:If a player decides to use time warp on a server, the server gives the player a "warp ID", then gets transferred to a local universe where he/she can expedite his warp. When the player has returned to 1x speed the player gets transferred back to the server with his "warp ID", and can continue playing. Obviously the player wouldn't be allowed to warp if there was another player in a certain range of him/her, this distance could be specified by the server administrator. Also, it would be a good thing to have a "cooldown" for warps, for instance after having warped a player couldn't warp for another 2 minutes or something like that. While warping other players on the server wouldn't be able to see the player, and if there were a list of players being displayed, there could be a status indicator: *warping*I haven't been able to find any problems with this so far, but I am sure there are many. Any feedback is appreciated.
Pursuedtank
I believe this is still on the what not to suggest list. However the Dev's have indicated that they are going to start work on multiplayer in the near future, they will probably use the same method to deal with time warp as in this mod.
