Ran out of elec through my own stupid fault!

Recommended Posts

Hey

I'm sending another part up to my station.. clever me positioned it in a stupid way and the little solar panels I put on aren't getting any sun.. So I ran out of elec while I was waiting to catch up to my station..

Is it possible to rotate the ship? I've no Kerbal onboard to try and give it a little push either :(

Any ideas? lol

If you wait long enough - half a Kerbal year at most - the panels will eventually catch some sun! :D

=Smidge=

I had a feeling they might, But I could only go at 50x so it was going to take me ages! haha

Thanks for the suggestions but I decided to cut my losses and re-launch the ship.. Just put it into a stable orbit with the panels charging the batteries ;) haha!

Are they extendable panels you forgot to extend (I've done that a few times and ran out of juice)? If so, if a rescue ship with a Kerbal can get there, you can extend the panels through an EVA. Fly your spacewalker near the panel, right click on it, and he can extend it.

Failing that, I'd recommend sending up a battery truck. Something with a probe core, some better-positioned solar panels, and the appropriate docking port. Capture and dock with your stricken vessel, and the panels on the battery truck will charge both ships. That might give you enough power to finish the original mission.
