Sea landing - it might help to carry some pontoon light structure made out of durable crash resistant parts at the bottom of the ship, in case you can\'t glide in slow enough for the carrier\'s hull to withstand the initial water impact.

I envision something like a hydrofoil or catamaran like thing.

Whole boat has to be rebalanced in lift/thrust/centre of gravity for flight though!

I as just about to release a thing called aircraft carrier, so i went into the challenge forums and saw this

Otherwise you might end up dunking a whole boatload of fuel tanks as sacrificial buoyancy.

Damn, that felt like I was watching an action movie! Put railguns on your X-7 and shoot the ship since you have so many wing parts. It will be hilarious.

That is awesome design right there! Talk about an ekranoplan style / seaplane carrier.

The only little suggestion I have is try and change the tail to a 'V' type so the fighter can land on the deck from the rear (less hazardous)

Actually, I tried that, but I found that slipping in from the front and letting the carrier catch up to you is the best way, as this allows you to use the tail as a rail and stop you sliding off the back

I know I didn\'t exactly do the above method in the video but, hey, I landed with no damage didn\'t I? :L

I tried shooting it with railguns, insanely difficult to aim, only hit it once in about 10 tries, each try with about 12 rounds each

It probably would only take one round to immensely damage the carrier, so just put one bullet from one side to decouple by itself. That should double the chances.
