Mobile Lab ate my favorite Kerbals?

Okay, so I'm pretending to be at work so can't play around with it, but I loaded up the .23 last night and played late. I was tired and so maybe I'm just missing something obvious. I orbited the MobileLab and EVA'd two kerbinauts into it, did some laboratory work and I couldn't figure out how to get them outta there. It's like it ate them, their little pictures don't show on the ship, right clicking the kerbal eater gave me nothing. I think this is a ploy to feed Kerbals to some psyhco machine. I had to get to sleep, so left it at that and went to bed. This ship wouldn't survive re-enty with that mammoth attached, so am I doing something wrong? Hep me please! Jensen and Sigbal are like my children.

They are in there, left click the hatch to get them out

I haven't messed with the lab yet.

Been in career mode.

Put I would say the labs using old hitch hiker

Like sal said right click on the labs hatch and you should be given the option to Eva.
