Moving SCIENCE!

Recommended Posts

Okay, maybe I have missunderstood it, but I'm currently playing around with the lab module and I've read something about using it to store the data recovered from the experiments.

So, if that is possible, how can I transfer data from an experiment, any experiment to the lab module and perhaps a capsule?

All you have to do is EVA your kerbal and place him next to where you want the science to come from. (i.e your experiment) then right click the experiment and you should get an option that says Take Data. At this point your kerbal will take the data (Assuming you click the button) and carry it with him. You can then EVA him over to wherever you want to put said data (i.e your capsule or science lab) at which point you right click your destination and click store experiments like normal.

With EVA'd Kerbals. Move a Kerbal near an experiment part, right click it, and collect the data. Then board the lab or capsule to store it there.

Command pods can only hold one experiment from a given location at a time. The Processing Lab can store any number of experiments, of any kind. Given how light it is, its' actually quite viable to use it to return experiment data to Kerbin for full Science credit.
