suggestion to make a lot of parts easiest possible

Why not download the parts from the webs (Links are down)

Then convert the files to Collada, add textures and CFG and the model is reday.

Pages to download models in 3D.

I will add more.

Please if you model work upload to mediafire and make a reply with the link and images

If you want, you can download the iss and them separate the modules and convert to KSP models link for download the ISS by parts (http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/3d_resources/assets/iss-hi-res.html]

Heh, because its not nearly that easy, and in most cases making the actual mesh is only like 25% of the work, most of it is the UV Mapping, texturing, and config (not to mention cutting up imported models, sizing them correctly, and adding collision meshes to them.

And lets not forget the issues with using other people\'s work.

AFAIK NASA allows using their 3D model without a notice even for commercial purposes (just don\'t pretend you are NASA -- and you\'re O.K.)). The models I seen there already went with UV maps and textures... but converting them to Collada could really be quite an issue \'cause their modellers assign a texture to a material -- and several materials to one mesh. If one come overcome this cutting & scaling & colliding would not be a problem.

they look high poly or crumbly lol. besides using someone elses stuff tends to be annoying. it is easier just to make your own.

Yeah, I agree. I\'ve just tried to \'do it myself\' and import NASA\'s Gemini model (this one)... Uh, I\'m glad I\'ve rejected to use this one when beginning to work on my project. After two hours of work it has all textures applied and somehow renders in Blender but it still needs a helluva amount of merging, cutting and retexturing to be of some use for KSP.

And my own model at least has pod hatches worked out. NASA\'s one has not ))

Good work! Can you upload to mediafire and give us the link?

Meh, the render I\'ve made is of no practical use. That model still consists of 15 different meshes and joining them makes just no sense \'cause all the textures need to be redrawn beforehand.

Please if you model work upload to mediafire and make a reply with the link and images

Mine does not work. And it will not 8)

Lol nice

I would recommend that you refrain from posting reactions in threads that have been inactive for a while. In general, posting only reactions is frowned upon, and in dormant or outdated threads, often draws complaints and reprimands. I am not a moderator on these forums, but I thought it best I offer some advice.

I\'ll direct you to the Forum Rules thread, which is linked at the top of each section.
