Potential updates for the Science System and adding in two more planets.

Recommended Posts

Hey, I figured that maybe a way to acquire science could be added in called agriculture (Growing plant life) This would only work on a body with an atmosphere. (Even if Oxygen isn't present you could treat it like a cased in thing where oxygen is supplied directly to the plant.) Just a thought.

The two other planets I'd love to see added in are in real life Eris and Ceres, these are two objects in space that are too small to be considered planets. Eris would provide bored ksp players who cannot mod (Due to the lack of intelligence on the matter or updates rendering most mods incompatible) a brand new challenge as it's orbit is very unusual and far out. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/dc/Eris_Orbit.svg

Ceres is a planet that isn't too unusual but is odd, being small in size and without a stable orbit it still has a potential for liquid water oceans. (Which is kind of a BIG F*CKING DEAL) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ceres_Orbit.svg

Sorry to shoot you down, but Eeeloo is pretty similar to Eris as well; although admittedly its orbit is less extreme.

I do like the idea of having a body with a very different orbit, what about a comet with a really eccentric one? That would also make landing a challenge if it was small and irregular enough.

I like the idea of growing plants, could maybe have a greenhouse module? Unless you wanted to plant them outside, I don't see a reason for only having them on atmospheric bodies.
