Artificial gravity works on atmospheres and the side barriers prevent it from flowing off the side.Stop the rotation at the air would most likely go.

I barely remember the plot. It's entertaining, sloppy and shallow approach to otherwise good thing such as socialism. Plus it's got sweaty Matt Damon, something I don't care about.

I'm not defending rich right winged douchebags, but the movie ended with joy and hope, although the fact is that the society was on the verge of global war and famine. Yay, everyone gains access to healing machines - now let's procreate more than ever! Awesome idea!

If only they've spent more time presenting the Stanford torus.
