"Why, ttb" I hear the masses cry, "why are you the happiest guy on Kerbal?" I reply, because I got KSP running on Linux. Just a few minor issues, like no text (which is easily fixed). Also going to install the propritiery ATI driver and see how that goes. Seems to run OK with the open source drivers though.

thanks

How many of you here are running KSP on Linux?

I tried on Fedora 14 ages ago running on an old AMD athlon X64 dual core and a 256meg 7600 vid card, I think the ksp version was .17 or .18

It failed worse than that 250 ton payload I tried putting in orbit on a SRB booster :(

The PC is 8 yrs old now .. which does'nt help, but its good enough for general surfing/app creation

I tried. KSP doesn't run with ATI's OSS drivers of my laptop graphics (Mobility Radeon HD 4250). So, here we go to install the proprietary driver. Not compatible, but a legacy driver is avaliable. Okay, let's try that! Oh...You have to have an earlier kernel version, because the legacy drivers are not compatible with the current kernel. Then you come here and suggest that KSP should be compatible with OSS drivers. Some people play smartass and say I should make the drivers compatible since it's Linux after all.

This is my experience of KSP in Linux so far.
