I own a segway !

And I am in loose contact with the inventor of the RYNO . He came to my College ( oregon tech ) and we had a very nice chat about his system . He was looking for summer help for batts .... ended up nabbing a PSU student .

VIDEO of the same Seg

Please pardon the batman suit . It was halloween last Year . :)

The RYNO and Seg have a non spinning Gyro called a MEMS sensor . same kind used in a WiiMote and a Ipad.

The MEMS sends data to the Main CPU and It then has a IMU of sorts to then control the PWM to the Drive motors .

As fun as they are to drive , I have one as I cant drive a car and I have Really bad knees so no bike .....

That's a cool video, the swishing cape adds to the effect. Segways and batman are a good mix.

If I could afford one of these things, I'd be the coolest guy at uni. And it'd save me some effort, my uni's on a steep site.

Edit: Bob has a segway now.

Saw one in a train station.

Makes sense. No needed to find a parking spot, just stand it up next to you.

I reckon the skateboard thing would be even easier though, especially if can go reasonable distances and charges fast, like they claim.
