Volcanism

Recommended Posts

As readers of this most may know, Eeloo and Laythe are planned to have volcanism, and I think one of the devs said once that they were planning on adding a planet really close to Kerbol like Ablate from PlanetFactory, only with lava lakes and volcanoes. On Eeloo, cyrovolcanoes (A.K.A snow geysers) would push your ship around or launch Kerbals off the surface (since Eeloo is planned to be the innermost moon of Gas Planet 2, this may be evidence of a subsurface ocean with life). Laythe was supposed to have REAL volcanism with lava, which would generate lava flows that might destroy your ship ( Laythe's volcanoes would also generate massive amounts of CO2, which, thanks to the greenhouse effect, would warm Laythe up enough to support liquid water on its surface). Personally, I really want this feature to be implemented, but others may think differently. Post your opinions on volcanism in KSP here.

Edit1: How do I start a poll?

I think it's a great thing and I'm looking forward to it. Laythe should resemble Io in the terms of volcanism, and Eeloo is like Enceladus.

Volcanoes and geysers don't have to be collosal as seen in these photos. That would cause problems to orbiting ships and probes, not mentioning the problems when developing such things...ioprometheus_galileo.jpg
