I have yet to get a working test flight - but its getting close. I think I would have circularized last attempt except for an odd bug I encountered and poor staging of the main tank (need to add sepatrons or kill thrust while dropping it).

I just managed a sub-orbital flight. Didn't save enough fuel for landing and didn't manage to orbit (138 ap at 19,000+m/s). Ascent was too steep, but its a bit hard to fly.

There was empty space in the upper tanks and the ship itself needs a couple fixes to help with landings and re-entry. Should be able to fix it up this weekend.

Shoot, just realized this is a stock thread for wips. Sorry about that last post :(

It's not just stock; I know the thread title says that it is, but there are plenty of modded creations in here. Go back a page or two and you will see a cruiser I posted that is most definitely not stock

What you've got there looks pretty cool, by the way :)

Is that a . .. bridge? :D Man, would be nice to try placing that in the river-which-I-know-but-don't-know-where :D

I remember one time when I built a spaghetti bridge for a science project. It weighed 1 pound and was able to hold a max weight of 10 pounds before it broke.

Better get the UbiZor welding mod for that. Or a supercomputer to handle all those parts. Or just wait for Unity 5.

I'm guessing that's a SATO? A Shuttle Assist To Orbit, which basically means the jet part and rocket part of a supposedly SSTO are separated into two stages, which kills dead weight for the space craft :D

Yeah, I did something similar once before.

With the new one the launch vehicle makes about 1400 m/s before giving up, so I suspect the orbiter could make it from there, just. I suspect stability problems due to the slightly weird design mean it won't get past the wip stage.

I'm hoping to see improvements with what you're working on now, the old one seems to have... a very unnecessary launch vehicle :D

I think I'm going to wait for UbiZor, since Calculations show that the Bridge Deck itself is going to take 1800 Wing panels...
