I'm definitely looking forward to the upcoming game Star Citizen so I built a ship based on the F7A Hornet from that game. All stock parts.

***Update 10/11/14***

I just updated the F7 Hornet with new stock parts from version 0.25

The old version is here

I did what I can to stay close to the ship design. The only modification I made is adding a second engine.

Getting this plane off the ground is no easy task, but once it is, it's easy to fly. By the time it hits Mach 2, better have the RCS on.

"Honey, I got the ice cream you wanted." :P

Other than the fact that it can't go into space, you've got a very good looking Hornet here. Might be the F7M Super Hornet because of the second seat you put in, but now I'm nitpicking. Great work! :)

Oh, I wish this thing was capable of going into space, but making an SSTO out of it would be really difficult...
