  1. Wow... this Morningstar Fighter looks a lot better than my version of it... (it was from an older KSP version)
  2. If any of you read the Star Wars Legacy comics, you'd probably saw one of these starfighters... The Incom X-83 TwinTail is the latest in the X-Wing line. When you're flying this, I absolutely discourage sudden pitching up or down... Mod used: Infernal Robotics Craft file: http://kerbalx.com/pheeph/X-83-TwinTail.craft
  3. This here is the most common fighter that served the Kilrathi Empire in the first "Wing Commander" game. It was also flown by Christopher Blair during the Firekka campaign. Be careful when you fly this thing when taking off... it pitches up rather quickly due its wing design. The center of lift was a bit far forward so the RCS tanks were placed in front to move the center of mass forward a bit. Craft file: http://kerbalx.com/pheeph/Dralthi-II.craft
  4. Star Citizen and Wing Commander were both created by Chris Roberts. So you may see the similarities...
  5. This is based on the two-seat heavy fighter flown by the Kilrathi in "Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger". When I played the game, the Vaktoths were a complete pain to fight... I had to put some RCS tanks in the front just to keep the center of mass close to the center of lift. Craft file: http://kerbalx.com/pheeph/Vaktoth.craft
  6. This craft was the standard fighter of the Confederation in "Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger". This is all stock parts and built for 1.0.5. A number of control surfaces are buried in the large space in the wings... though I can't get it to roll any faster... Craft file: http://kerbalx.com/pheeph/Hellcat-V.craft
  7. This craft came from "Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom" It's an atmospheric craft flown by the Union of Border Worlds Craft file: http://kerbalx.com/pheeph/Vindicator.craft
  8. Glad you like it. I wish I could SSTO the Cloakshape Fighter... there's always the issue of thrust and fuel capacity. You can check out the other replicas of Star Wars ships I made based on the X-Wing series of games: Assault Gunboat: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/124518-X-Wing-Series-Cygnus-XG-1-Starwing-Assault-Gunboat TIE Avenger: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/124622-X-Wing-Series-TIE-Avenger?highlight=tie+avenger
  9. This plane is based on the Cloakshape Fighter from X-Wing Alliance. The Space Tug mod was exactly what I needed for the cockpit. The Cloakshape Fighter was best used as a defensive fighter. These were said to be around before the Clone Wars. They weren't the best dogfighters, but their armor made up for that... It could also be modified a lot... More info on that here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/CloakShape_fighter Try not to pull a tight turn shortly after takeoff... it could nosedive. Mods used: Space Tug http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/83364 RasterPropMonitor http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/117471-1-0-RasterPropMonitor-still-putting-the-A-in-IVA Craft file: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/83364
  10. Is there a mod out there with a cockpit part that's practically a bulb in the front? If there is, I hope it's a small one... Here's an example from the Cloakshape Fighter from X-Wing Alliance: http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/11/10611/cloakshapefighter_1_4.png
  11. This thread is it... http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/71344-Kamov-Ka-22-Vintokryl?highlight=vintokryl
  12. Wow... never expected to see something like this really work... I once had a replica of a Russian helicopter/airplane hybrid. It was the Ka-22 Vintokryl.... that's not easy to fly...
  13. Another interior design idea at work... the Kerbal RV. Kinda like a two-floor camper. Almost up to 400 parts... Can it be space-capable? We'll see... You'll need the following mods: Magic Smoke Industries Infernal Robotics, and the Glass panels mod (I think it's under GlassThings). Craft file: http://www./download/pu25avzfwajqk18/Kerbal_RV.craft
  14. Something I did just for fun... If any of you seen the anime Tenchi Muyo, you probably saw the cabbit that can turn into a giant spaceship that the space pirate Ryoko flew in. The flight is very short-lived so enjoy it while you can... There's the Ryo-Ohki. Well... sort of... I did my best to stay close to the design... I didn't have any parts that resembled a giant ball in the center... the Stayputnik is too small for that... Ryo-Ohki takes off! Onward, Ryo-Ohki! Or not... two of the engines burned out before the rest. The parachutes and the airbrakes weren't enough... Fortunately, the real Ryo-Ohki wasn't harmed during this flight... Craft file (if you wanna play with it): http://www./download/fjdl1grheabinxi/Ryo-Ohki.craft
  15. Given the changes in the physics engine, I can only make narrow-sized modules. Previously, I had other ones like the Space Bar and the Space Lounge.
  16. I went back to doing interior design in KSP. This is my Habitation Space Station (or it can be called Habitation Station for short). Inside the module, there are a number of things I placed in there. It includes a breakfast nook (refrigerator and coffee included), a bathroom (that command pod on the back end), sleeping quarters (which happen to be placed next to the bathroom), and a flat-screen TV (that I-beam with solar panels on it). It wobbles around when launched, but I did manage to get it into orbit. Craft file: http://www./download/k2m7938aiqdikfc/Habitation_Space_Station.craft
  17. Made a replica of the Northrop F-5 Tiger II for v1.0 Just let it go off the runway Mach 2 Mach 3 Craft file: http://www./download/aare21k9edr2q6q/F5_Tiger_v1_0.craft
  18. I made another X-29 replica, this time with parts of v1.0. Mod used: Adjustable Landing Gear Craft file: http://www./download/7t1pkbc7n61jywa/Grumman_X-29(2).craft
  19. Here's another craft from the X-Wing series. This is the TIE Avenger. This first appeared in the game TIE Fighter and made appearances in X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter and X-Wing Alliance. The Empire designed this craft based on the TIE Advanced x1 (that fighter Darth Vader flew in the movies). In the TIE Fighter game, it was fast, had shields, was heavily armed, and it could go into hyperspace (though KSP doesn't have such things). The TIE Avenger I made for this game comes in two flavors. An atmospheric one and an orbital one. The atmospheric one uses RAPIER engines and usually flies around within Kerbin's atmosphere. The orbital version has ion engines and is launched by rocket. Craft files: Atmospheric version (http://www./download/dqzrg1pc0ggzbnk/TIE_Avenger.craft) Orbital version (http://www./download/t2hcf80j8hfsv74/TIE_Avenger_Orbital.craft)
  20. I first encountered the Assault Gunboat in X-Wing. They're a much bigger nuisance than TIE Bombers as they tend to fire missiles at you a lot and that was annoying. Yeah, I uploaded this before I thought about the ion cannon bit... I should have placed antennae in the tailroot... missile racks, I was more concerned the flight capability of the ship... and thought that placing something at the intake area might affect the ship's flight.
  21. Anyone remember playing the Star Wars X-Wing series games? I'm recreating various craft from X-Wing, TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance. This craft was used by the Empire and it was seen in all the X-Wing games. The Cygnus XG-1 Starwing Assault Gunboat. This craft may not be the best at dogfighting, but it was heavily armed... I seriously wished they had square intakes and rectangular structures... This thing can go past Mach 2 in a short time... It has reached orbit! Craft file: http://www./download/gzckkb8z9jogba4/Assault_Gunboat.craft
  22. This is an updated version of the F-36 Hornet from Wing Commander. Redesigned to look much closer to the original craft from the game. Craft file: http://www./download/w3ynvntgwqa8k2k/Hornet.craft
  23. After KSP 1.0 came out, I thought it was time to redesign the F-44 Rapier from Wing Commander. This is the WC1 version that flew for the TCS Tiger's Claw. Unfortunately, due to major changes in the aerodynamic system in KSP, these things can only fly in Kerbin... Thank goodness for aerobrakes... and medium-sized landing gear... Craft file: http://www./download/ro8rpppe6mrehvm/Rapier_I.craft I kinda named it the "Rapier I"...
  24. From Wing Commander III, the Confederation's super-fighter... the F-103 Excalibur ...Unfortunately, being in orbit was short-lived ever since the change in aerodynamics...
  25. Heh... that's funny... Luckily, these designs don't do such thing....
