Spaceplane instrument landing system?

Having played so many flight sim back in the day, it always strikes me weird that there is no landing assistance in KSP. I dont enjoy having to eyeball the approach and landing stage. Is there any mod that adds a ILS for spaceplane?

I think I saw a landing system on MechJeb2 the other day. But I havn't tried it yet.

Scared of mechjeb, because i dont want automatic stuff. Just like a HUD that displays the T line for aligning runway. But if mechjeb has that then i'll guess i'll download it...

IIRC There's a PAPI array mod somewhere. Else you could place a bunch of flags.

The PAPI array is here. As far as getting a T line mod, try suggesting it to Trueborn, as it would fit in well with the displays used in Steam Gauges.

Yeah, an ILS is sitting in the back of my head. I had actually planned on doing a whole mod around radio navaids that would go from NDBs, to VORs, VOR/DMEs, and ILS. You would go park your navaid somewhere, and then tune it up, and use an HSI to plot courses around. But I didn't really get that far, and SteamGauges isn't done yet. So my next grand idea was an FMS that would by strictly lat/lon based (like GPS, but not requiring any satellite constellations (at first)). That one is still in the works, but will have to wait until after I get Custom Biomes up to speed. But yeah, someday you'll have a CDI to follow down final...
