Mun Bomber 2!

Recommended Posts

I feel like going nuts on you, not for most of your rocket, but for using parachutes on a spaceplane.

I used them on the Ibis and Kestrel. Then again, the Ibis does at least have the capability of making a landing by itself. Which is why I built it. The Kestrel was far too big, and it couldn\'t LTOL.

Now to build a Dramiel !!!!!

Hay its a back up plan if you wish to use the fuel to fly about and land you can without the parachutes :-)

But the problem I have is not that your using parachutes, its that your using it on a spaceplane. Whats the point of haling the extra weight of the wings, when you are going to decend using parachutes. It makes no logical sence.

Suddenly I realise that all this time the Kestrel was just a proof of concept, a prototype for the technologies used in the Ibis.

For it failed as a plane, though it could go to the Mun.

Meh, I wouldn\'t see mun-capable planes too discouraging to any other planes. C7 parts are super cheaty, as it. Just get a main engine with some strong VTOL and... well that\'s pretty much it. Can\'t weigh that too heavy in judging.

Thats why most of my designs have A: no RCS and B: not to be flown above 30,000m.

After your recommendations I have now completed tests for my Bomber 2 Which is now able to glide and land with no use of parachutes!

Here is a sneek peep.

This time simple is best now I glide like a feather to the earth after horizontal flight from the Mun.

Pictures and video to follow.
