A ladder please.

Recommended Posts

Can you please put some ladders that let you climb onto things instead of just on modules.? Since you guys are working with NASA why not use real topographical information to render that planets. Even the extra solar ones can be artist rendering of what scientists think it may look like. And the whole extra solar system idea is great! To solve the distance/time problem just reduce the distances to below 1 light year that would allow for use of normal rocketry and maybe include one Electro Plasma magnetic drive being developed for future use.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variable_Specific_Impulse_Magnetoplasma_Rocket. You guys are doing a great job I really enjoy this game for it's infinite hours of fun!!!

There are three types of ladders in this game already. You can find them in the utility tab i think it is called. And why use real topography? The star system in KSP isn't our own. Also i don't think anyone here is working with NASA.

No, he's talking about ladders enabling climbing onto things. You can always tilt the existing ones, but that doesn't get you on stuff. Once you're on the top, you fall down.

The solution, although not an elegant one, is to use several of the smallest ladders to make a rail to your destination.

OP's first post is a kluster-wreck lol. but anywho

1. theres confusion as to your meaning on the ladders. please post again.

2. i can only assume that you want a accurate topographical map of the asteroid nasa intends on lassoing, as the game planets dont actualy exist. as to the asteroid i don't believe they have scanned it in a manner to have a topography type map.

3. as to extra solar systems i point you to this month old article http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/12/23/kerbal-space-program-dev-on-random-solar-systems-the-joy-of-failure-and-the-cult-of-steam/

4. yes SQUAD really rocks (or asteroids for that matter)
