Base - Corridor - Fill gap between angled parts

Recommended Posts

I'm creating corridors for a base construction out of S2 Fuselage parts from the B9 part package.

I'd like to fork the corridor so one corridor (S2 Fuselage) will need to attach to another at an angle. They are connected to each other via a Cubic Octagonal Strut. But this obtuse angle creates a gap I'd like to make disappear. Please take a look at the below pictures to see what I am talking about.

If you have any ideas how I can do this I would really appreciate it.

I am open to connecting differently, or putting a part(s) between the two in the connection, they don't even have to be the same design (by that I mean the S2 parts) I'd just like anything to fill in the gap (I would prefer it looks good though)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best way to solve it is probably to use the radial connectors, the ones who look like docking ports, since they have a structure on the inside the break will be far smaller,
Are you referring to the BZ-52 Radial Attachment Point? That only has one node on it. Are you referring to a different part?

Thank you for your advice, I tried them for a long while but I think my building skills limited me from being able to make them work.

After some thought and graph paper I was able to figure out a geometry that would work.

Here is the alignment method I used: (Red is the order in which the parts are attached. Blue is the direction of the next corridor section.)

Here is the alignment as best I could make it. It isn't too horrible... is it?

Do you guys think this is too ugly? I'm still open to more suggestions.

This is going to go into a much grander design for a large modular base. I hope to be able to post pics for you soon.
