Redezvous Bug?

Recommended Posts

Been playing for a week with 4 mods KAS, KW Rocketry, Lazor Docking cam and Engineer (which I haven't really used). Got a nice station going with fuel tanks and docking ports for expansion on a near perfect circular orbit at 260 km. Now I couldn't do anything. When ever I past 0 m/s target speed the game bugs out and the target speed begins to to accelerate and decelerate peak pass 4000 m/s. At that point I couldn't switch to the station or go back to the space center. I either have to revert launch or load a quick save. Started a new save, same thing. I don't think it's because of the mods since I built the station with parts from them. I'm using 2.5m ports and fuel tanks. Any ideas?

(Problem solved by removing Lazor Docking Cam.)

Screenshots can help and did you say you built the station with mod parts?

If you did build the station with mods you'd best be downloading another copy of KSP without mods. you won't have to pay again. Then don't install any mods on the new install. Then rebuild the station and try again to see if it does it again

This is my second save's station core. Can't rendezvous with it.

The first station that I did was three times the size of this. Which had 1.25m ports, then the bug came when I tried to switch the core with the one that has 2.5m ports. Maybe thats the problem. I'll redo again with 1.25m ports.

To change the thread to answered go to the first post and edit it, then clock Go advanced. As for the stuck orbiter thing, I don't think it's really stuck. I think what is happening is you are undocking, but because your relative velocity is so low (zero actually) you're not moving away from your station. What you should try is undocking, switching to the vessel you just undocked (If you can't do that then it's a bug) and then using RCS to push yourself away.

Nah, it really was stuck.

It is not a perfect replacement for a docking camera, but I think it is sufficient and the smallest of the docking helper mods I know of.

Thanks, I'll give it a try sometime. I don't have problems with docking but the cam helps alot. Plus the cam just feels right.
