Ladder fun.

I built this lander.

I can get out of the Mk1 fine, (falling is really easy!)

Getting back up, not so easy. I get to the top of the hitchhiker capsule but no matter what I do or how i move the little ladder segment i can't seem to get over the top corner. He just falls as he gets to the top.

Any clues?

Attach another extendable ladder at the top and angle it towards the door maybe?

Also you could add one of the Rockomax size adapters to give a gradual slope to your ladder.

Just take that top little ladder and angle it ~45 degrees. Shift + WASD if you don't know. Position it so the ends match up where you want to connect.

Using Shift+WASD you can rotate things in VAB by 5 degrees rather than 90.

Uh OK, I didn't think of angling it like that.
