Messing Around with VTOL Planes

Jeb and Bill decided to take their new VTOL planes out for a good flight, so I decided to take a few decent screenshots.

So here they are on the helipad prepping for takeoff.

Mid-flight

Returning after performing a very successful test flight.

And a final approach.

Landed!

Jeb proceeds to look off into the distance, getting a few.. uh.. ideas.

Then, after making a bet with Bill that he could fly under the arch at R&D, this happened...

How did you get them to fly simultaneously?!

I flew both planes simultaneously simply by lowering their throttle to a little more than a hover and made sure to keep them within rendering distance.

Flicking back and forwards between the two? Landing must have been tricky, watching the one up in the air while you were landing the first one to make sure it didn't drift into something... oh wait... that last picture

I didn't think that you could swap whilst it was in the atmosphere?
