Of course it is. Although, a lot of that 1% has been cancelled.:(

99% is crap, and the whole 100% I don\'t watch. I gave up on tv long ago, and I have turned to youtube (more specificly KurtJMac, Guude, anyone who isn\'t the Yogscast).

In the 4th series, the plots got a lot less interesting for me. There was also far too much contrast with previous series. Plus, the electric guns [not Tasers] were quite silly. And the new ARC wasn\'t exactly an iconic building.

The only part I liked was that the Detector\'s console looked like... well, a console. Rather than five screens arranged in a cross-shape with some keyboards slung underneath all being dwarfed by the massive room its in.

i loved series 2 the best, though i agree that tv has got worse. as soon as friends went off air (thank god it is back on) there were, id say 5/6 programs (family guy, american dad, mythbusters, qi, top gear, and random, unrelated documentaries) that i would watch.

This is, aside from the customary sarcasm of James Leicester, the only thing I\'ve really found amusing at any point after Series 4 started.

Also, I think the fact that the majority of the team [discounting Becker\'s protection forces] was made up of \'rank amatuers who happen to be brilliant at what they do\', to quote Leicester himself, was the best point about Primeval. That a zookeeper would be using a tranquiliser gun on a dinosaur, that a university conspiracy geek would invent a detection system and a means of locking the Anomalies, that a University professor would understand the complexities and behaviour of the Anomalies [temporal fault lines, flow of warm water creating steam, predicting the Anomalies, and of course, being the estranged husband of the show\'s antogonist (Helen Cutter)] all together made the show what it was.

As soon as you turn the entire thing into being professional - such as the majority of the ARC workers having military backgrounds, the computer operator with Hollywood-movie levels of unrealism with regards to how hacking works, making all the vehicles the same, and using a boring-looking building as a headquarters [unlike the old ARC, which actually looked iconic. I thought even the Home Office from Season 1 looked more in place.], it all becomes routine and monotonous, and you have to turn to more and more unrealistic or badly thought out plots to keep it vaguely interesting, which might appeal to some - just not those who really liked the first three seasons.
