Almost everything Squad don't want to add in one game: Statopia from Mucky Foot, an amazing space station managment game, with a great campaign which lead you through the whole gameplay. Special mention to the very amazing biodeck. Note the game works very well on modern hardware, despite it was released on 2001.

Another era, another style: the black hole from Walt Disney, released in... 1979 !! A amazing sci-fi movie with an awesome soundtrack.

A link to the booklet (slide down a bit) with the audio disk, which contains many pictures of the USS Cygnus and Palomino, and another link with some good pics.

My goodness,

I already love it. So all that you do is basically live on a space station and upgrade stuff to get money or some comparable value and then upgrade more and develop, tech tree like? Is that the way I should understand that game?

Anyhow, it is obvious that Squad, which consists of a handful of people working on KSP can't possibly implement everything. I do, however, hope that some day we will be able to work inside a space station like NASA astronauts... (In-game)

:)

money there is energy (there is a recycler for garbaged, including dead "people"), tech tree is made by research (starting from one good, you get the shop to sell it, ...), A great guide here with tons of pics.
