Kerbal ships (Not the space ones, cruise ships!)

Hey, there.

Since my science pool in the career mode is almost full, and i'm getting bored, i started exploiting different glitches. The K-Drive was first (as soon as i learned about it), next in line was the intake glitch.

It's quite a known fact that intakes glitch upon contact with water, causing them to bounce on it. Forever. This was exploited by putting those on floats, so the craft/ship/whatever floated. But... What if somebody made an INSANELY large ship? I tried.

The first version of it was supposed to carry about 15 kerbals and some KAS containers over to the island with runway and test the behavior of intakes with heavy loads on them. It succeeded. Intakes were working, and the "ferry" was cruising at about 40 m/s over the seas. Then i built this:

I didn't even manage to get the ship into the water. I aimed for full stock. First i was using the large rover wheels, but they snapped immediately upon physics load. Small gear bays don't snap, but the ship is not able to leave the runvay since it collapses on the slopes at the sides. (one of those breaks summoned a hell kraken). Even though it's powered by two mainsails (this is the first version with only four rapiers and slightly less struts), its maximal water speed (i hyperedited it there, just to try) is about 20 m/s. Without directional controls.

Is there any way to improve water steering and getting it into the water? And what kind of naval ships did you build?

My cruise liner is based on my "proven" "hydrofoil" technology. This doesn't use the bug/glitch air intake, rather it... well i'm not sure how it works to be honest!

I decided to go bigger with the UberFail I, or as the kerbal engineers call it... well, the "blubberchucker" when they're on duty and something that rhymes with that when they're at the pub.

It's all stock except the 'bow' and the air intakes. Both could be replaced with stock parts.

Does it blend float? You bet it does!

3x jet trials = sweet

Wasn't too slow with all five engines running.

But did start slooowly swaying side to side until it started to doing water doughnuts...
