New probe core (Also counts as a mod request if someone wants to make it now)

There is a stock part called "Probodobodyne RoveMate" (http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Probodobodyne_RoveMate) which is a great rover part but none of the probe cores "fit it". Is it possible to have a part specifically sized to fit the dimensions and thus make rovers more sleek?

What do you mean by fit? Not even the Octo2?

Or, try what I do and either hide the Octo2 on the bottom or clip it inside the rovemate (works for the larger probes too)

I understand what you mean but I like to see all of my parts. I am a bit of an artsy person when it comes to my craft XD

If you don't mind modding, you can inject probe core functionality directly into the RoveMate part.

But to be honest, I'd expect a rover to have all sorts of tools and machinery attached to them and one of them can pretty well be one of probe cores. Rover is not of much use if all it has is four wheels.

Also, RoveMate is not really extensible. Structural panels make much more flexible rover base IMO.
