This guy is stuck on Eve

It was my first mission to Eve and the lander had an accident when separating with its lower stage on descent to Eve. they collide and the lander lost 3 tanks.

You can see it is no symmetrical, tanks are missing on right side, and we landed at 4150m instead of 7500, 29km from our goal, but we landed safely.

I studied and built a new lander able of 100000 DV on take off and we are going to send it for rescue

Here it is starting on launchpad: 3800T

531383screenshot564.png

We are going to establish 600T on Kerbin orbit: Lander 10000 DV plus a lower breaking stage 900DV plus an atomic pusher 3600DV, more than necessary.

Launch and landing on Kerbin by parachutes were successful.

Separation of first stage

4900m

8500m last tanks on the first ring of lower stage, we are now at 2110T

Reaching 12000m

379427screenshot577.png

At 21000m

At 29000m, starting the center tank engine, we are at the end of the lower inner ring.

50000M and 740T, we start on the last stage before orbit with 7 Rocko max engines

56000m

70000m

Now we are burning to Eve

Orbiting Eve now

124942screenshot617.png

But i miscalculate my orbit inclination and I have not enough DV to make my landing at the goal

643858screenshot634.png

I am going to send a refuller

547356screenshot639.png

Next step, eject the fairing to connect the refuller

Here is the rendez vous

Final approach

Contact and refuel

I got some electric problem with the ship on landing. Battery was completely drained, despite My 2 generators.

I built a new ship with a solar Array instead of generators and put it in orbit to Eve. Meanwhile I learnt that when chutes are on, if I cut SAS, no orders are sent to the reaction wheel and the battery is not drained.....

Here is the new ship with its fairing breaking to Eve landing

6000m: breaking chutes out and torque + SAS disabled

262677screenshot740.png

3500m separation of last breaking stage which was providing big amount of electricity

693228screenshot742.png

2500 breaking chutes open and vertical speed down to 22m/s

980215screenshot744.png

171m above ground, all chutes opened and VS is 4,3m/S

374139screenshot750.png

21m above ground: We see Maldous and his lander on background at 254m

147184screenshot753.png

Landing is a success: At 10m I open throttle to slow down vertical speed to less than 3m/s

I got some explosions after landing but after inspection I did not see any damage, all engines and fuel lines and struts seems OK

531535screenshot754.png

Now we are going to land the second rescue lander on this site, just in case the explosions I got on the first one should have damage it, despite I can't see anything wrong...

Succesfull landing, but I got also explosions on ground after landing. This is strange, nothing is missing. We'll see one take off

Maldous is now between his 2 Rescue landers. I hope one of them will be ok for take off.
