The Totally Useless "Guess the number of Logo Contestants" Thread.

As the title suggests, this is the number of contestants who submitted entries for Squad's Logo contest. I base it on my post here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/72209-Devnote-Tuesdays-The-Forward-Progress-Edition?p=1017043&viewfull=1#post1017043

There were 1297 entries received by Squad. There are 27 companies which were designated in need of Logos.

I figured that if each contestant submitted one logo per company, there'd be about 48 contestants.

Obviously, if each contestant submitted only one logo total, there would be 1297 contestants.

An average for those would be about 673 contestants.

I assumed that some people would submit more than one logo for the same company, so I dropped the figure to about 600 contestants.

I looked at the forum stats and saw that there are about 5004 active forum members.

If 10% of them submitted logos, then there are about 500 contestants.

So that's the number I'm picking. 500.

Try your hand at guessing (or figuring out) how many Logo contestants there are. Feel free to explain why you chose a number. You may also choose an already guessed figure.

If someone from Squad sees fit to supply the correct number of contestants, then that would end the contest and a winner(s) will be declared. If there is no exact winning figure, the closest one(s) will be selected.

The prize? Well, hmmm, your satisfaction for a lucky guess or for your skillful use of calculating skills?
