36.2 tons to a 100x10 orbit (I like to avoid debris when I can) with a margin of about 50 m/s delta-V. is incredibly tense to fly because it drops to a TWR of 0.6 while the boosters are still running.

it would just be much more pleasant to fly with fuel lines, but I wanted to see what I could do without them and 2.5 meter boosters. there was a time when getting an orange tank into orbit seemed completely impossible to me.

I am there again, with the RSS mod. Getting a crew of three into a 400km orbit is a challenge, let alone getting 32 tons into orbit.
