  1. Reentry works, at least. But during the ascent there's not much room for choice. Part of the problem is heat bleeding into them from other parts that tolerate the heat better, so this has issues too.
  2. Is there anything I can do to keep RCS thrusters from exploding during ascent/reentry? Or is it just a matter of luck?
  3. Added a drone core to my SSTO. Took it on a test flight. Hit physics warp to coast to orbit. Explosions due to physics warp overheating.
  4. Four safe landings and a docking, without ever losing a part. I think this SSTO is complete. Yay!
  5. "I guess we can't translate sideways. Huh." - Jeb just now I may have forgotten some RCS thrusters on that SSTO.
  6. Test flights. No explosions happened.
  7. Going fast enough got a cyan arrow to pop up on one side of the craft, before things got really bad. I can have an image up later.
  8. Now how did I get lifting body lift to be unbalanced? Questions, questions.
  9. If anyone could provide an explanation, or tell me where it's explained, that would be awesome.
  10. Oh, so we have working (imaginary) built-in fuel lines now? Neat.
  11. It's just so counterintuitive to do that with a plane.
  12. Guess I do have to use the airbrakes, even though they feel cheaty.
  13. I threw this together in half an hour or so, and it flies just great. But, it takes way too long to slow down during reentry. Any advice to help it not explode due to overheating would be great.
  14. Sent an empty LFB to Eve orbit, got 5 million or so. And something around 3000 science.
  15. the four million funds for testing an LFB around Eve sure seemed worth alot
  16. build things the wrong way around, create debris, just the average day
  17. Can anyone explain how the resource switching works? I want to add electric charge to some of the S2 parts to get inline batteries. So far it hasn't worked at all.
  18. Free from the tyranny of aerodynamics thanks to EPL. I could build anything I can imagine. I have too many ideas to decide.
  19. Extraplanetary Launchpads is making HX ships much more interesting. Building a titanic station to hold the million rocket parts I'll need, it's probably going to rival any ships it'll end up constructing. I'm probably inviting the kraken and sending my framerate down to the single digits.
  20. The very first thing I build with Extraplanetary Launchpads and I had the orbital dock on the wrong way. Things exploded.
  21. Refueled this: With this: Gracefully moving thousand ton objects in space:
  22. It took a titanic monster of a rocket, but I got an entire HX4 fuel module into orbit as a payload and managed to dock with it. Now I just have to do it again.
  23. At least a decoupler and HX engines that support decoupling would make it much easier. And more efficient. Dragging all those gigantic empty fuel modules and launch engines around makes docking a nightmare.
