stockalike parts are nice just make sure the textures are optimized noticed a trend lately of people putting out extremely bloated part mb sizes maybe its due to them getting lazy cause of the ram reducer mod lol.

If you want some advice, think about how your parts will expand possible craft design. From what you said about the command pod, it seems like it's going to be filling the same design niche occupied by the mk1 capsule. If you want to expand our options, you could try making, for example, something like a 1 meter cupola. Something with high-visibilty, so people who like IVAs have a nice view, but with no top connector for parachutes or whatever.

well, my current engine that I'm making (SLM-24 engine) is a cross between the LV-909 and the LV-T30 Liquid Fuel Engine. It's mainly intended for orbiters and very, very small launchers. (It would work in first or second stages). so I've got that going for me. thanks for the advice!

also the UNIN-10 pod, as I have decided, will carry 2 kerbals. so that's that part's niche. :)

I'm planning to make the parts of 3 different varieties:

1. KOSMOCE: Basically a bunch of soviet-era themed parts. currently the UNIN-10 pod works as an example.

2. KSA: American style parts. kinda like oh, I dunno, Mercury, gemini and apollo 1B style things.

3. UTILITY/INTERNATIONAL: A sack of generic parts. a few decouplers. a few space station parts. cool.

I look forward to some nice stockalike versions of real parts. When you get to the texturing phase, I recommend asking Porkjet for advice. That pig/man/kerbal does stockalike textures like nobody else, and he seems really helpful. You may also want to talk to Lack and Orionkerman, as they're the other main stockalike modders right now.

I'm back from wales!! lots of sheep.

so-

I have thought up a new part- the Rockomax Dockomax! It's a large size 5-kerbal pod built for- you guessed it- Making docking funner and easier.

also- the TNY-12 structural plate: a medium sized diameter structural plate that kinda looks like a manhole cover. NOTE- ZodiaK industries Is not responsible for a certain manhole cover company that may attempt to 're'claim the TNY-12 structural plate.

I rather like it. It reminds me very much of a .45ACP bullet. Keep up the good work!

Regarding IVA: Pretty snazzy layout. Any chance for a larger window though?

the Soyuz-TM that I'm basing it on only has two windows, each being about the size of a porthole, as shown below:

If the windows were larger, then I don't think it'd be safe. (micrometeorites and kerbal stupidity)

hmmmm. that does sound like a good Idea, but wasn't the soyuz-TM analog, not digital?

I think a MIX of these, one monitor per crew member (if the crew capacity is two) and analog and ofcourse this amazing periscope, personal i don't like an IVA,with all digital, specialy for UNIN-10.

Thanks because you "listen" our opinions.

Okay, so I've ran back down to the R&D dept. and asked the boffins to do a few adjustments. they refused. I bribed them with coffee. coffee always works.

it appears they've also moved the periscope. good on them.
