Oddly predictable 502 error?

Seems like a daily thing, between roughly 5 and 6 AM UTC the forums respond with the bland nginx 502 Bad Gateway error for most of the hour. It's regularity makes me think it's intentional or planned or something.

I think it is server maintenance or something like that. And it seems to last about 10 minutes, not an hour.

Oh, it's more predictable than that. Most days, it ends up being around 4:49pm ADST and lasts for approximately three to six minutes. I don't recall what the official thing on it is, it's something to do with the web host that Squad's got their servers on. It is, as Kasuha says, most likely just a daily maintenance thing.

I must have a terrible sense of time. I pretty much assumed the hour because I swear it's sometimes an hour early or I'm losing my mind.

If I recall correctly this is due to the daily backup of the forum database, which is done to prevent things like what happened in April 2013

Yeah, I always noticed that at 10:50 PM PST the forum would go down. Awesome that it's just the server backing up
