ok this has always bothered me because sure we have the astronaut complex but i always wondered where do the kerbals sleep? I doubt that there is a room in the astronaut complex that is filled with bunk beds to the ceiling or hammocks. So i wonder would it be possible to add like houses outside the complex or even tents just to put something there.

I assume there's a underground aspect to the Astronaut complex, since thats the only "safe" place on kerbin

To be serious though, i would think the Kerbals live in houses and drive to work. KSP needs a city, or towns. But this is all very minor and probably wont change for a while.

I assume they sleep in extra command pods or lander cans in the VAB, as conditioning for the years I leave them in there during interplanetary missions.

That said, I've had kerbals in space for years and they didn't sleep one wink. Eyes open and moving around for the entire journey.

This is so true, my poor kerbal base on Pol has not moved in 7 years, not counting the transit time! :3
