Also in the Battle of Laythe video, Macey mentioned that it had ten missiles or something like that. I don't see anything that looks like a missile on the Suestra in the video.

I just watched the battle again and I did find where the missiles were located.

You can see them at 7:13 in the video.

Who wants to remake this ship

I destroyed the comand module of your recon corvet, so i think is dead.((the other ones are in the missiles

You damaged it badly, but the Corvettes have probe cores as backup in their rear drive sections. You may have killed the pilot, but his ship's still active.

no target=dead

I couldn't tell from the pic, so I'll check in-game. I just wanna make 100% sure... since I know my Corvettes aren't made of tissue paper.

EDIT:

Ok, Escort Leader's dead, at least in the sense that it's main part is gone and it has only one LFO tank left.

Taking my turn now...

Your corvette shows potential but it needs a serious over

If I PM you the .craft, you think you could improve it while keeping the overall look?

Sadly not right now. I took yesterday off but I'm not going to be playing much for the next couple of weeks.

One things I would suggest is to move the pilots cockpit closer the the back. You can use part clipping to do this.

Ok, I see. I will say, though, that only a few ships (mostly dreks) can bounce 1.25 meter-type ammo easily.

//BATTLE UPDATE//

With Escort Lead destroyed, the crew of Dr. Strangekerb and Escort 2 make a tactical retreat to Gilly.

Strangekerb, as a large ship, must stay in-orbit, while its escort corvette lands.

Meanwhile, the pilot of Escort 4 goes to avenge the death of Escort Leader.

The attack puts LKW 1 permanently out of commission, due to its lack of sustainable power (or so it seems), and its lack of any weapons or docking ports for ammo on the core chunk.

Finally, my other fighter, Escort 3, was redirected to establish a defense perimeter around Gilly, to intercept any and all ships coming after my fleet.

(AKA, I'd like to have a fighter-on-fighter attack :P )

Luckily Leader 1 pilot, Lolong Kerman is still alive, I'll send a rescue mision later.

I'll take my turn now and do some dogfight with your fighter

((how do you hit a landed ship btw?))

edit:

silly question, but, do i have to rendezvous with Gilly manually right? moving my fleet there will take some time

You either land nearby and hit it with a guided shot or attempt a really low flyover where you strafe the target with several dumbfire shots.

^ answer this one please

I tried moving a ship manually and I think I'm spinning in the wrong direction.

You are allowed to use Hyperedit for big things like that, but for landing and meeting up with other ships you have to do it 100% legit.

So you can edit your ships.into a high orbit (75k*75k-100000k*100000k) around Gilly but then you must manually fly to attack my ships. Be careful, though, since HE can bug out sometimes... like causing you ship to fall straight towards a planet from orbit. :P

And there goes my strategy to make you run out of fuel... well at least I don' have to spend 10min waiting for a node since I can't warp faster than x1 below 8000m
