So, here's a little post-battle show for ya'll:

Following the severe damage to the Dr. Strangekerb, the crew partially evacuated the ship and left the rest to scuttle it.

The ship actually survived a rough landing on Vall, so I sent the rescue ship that the evac'd crew were on to meet it.

ScriptKitt3h, i have one more rule: Im not brining a carrier, but if I destroy your carrier then your fighters cannot count as "ships still alive" at the end of the battle, so if I lose, but all you have left are those fighters, it's a draw because tehy are now stranded without a mothership.

Anyway here is persist, with my 5 ships, under 600 tonnes total: https://www./?31mt6u8lurs6qkq (and if it has numbers after the persist name, just delete those, it's cause Mediafire does that to prevent overwrites).

2 Drek 15-3Ts without long range tanks (which always seem to elude my screenshots :P

3 Thresher Class Battlecruisers

Also, here is MY theme music for this battle, as we are fighting over a frozen Eeloo...

Actually the fighters have to return to the carrier by the end of the turn. They essentially count as weapons but with armor restrictions.

I feel I might lose this battle, you can't outmaneuver infinite fuel.

ah, ok :D that makes more sense...

so can I destroy the carrier first, or do I have to wait?

You guys are on break? Lucky.

I was drowned in homework during my break last week, and now I might have botched something... Well, I think that I won't be able to battle until the start of summer when I'm not being an intern.

Are you having trouble? I chose this location because it's relatively low gravity with a close moon. I thought your ships could make the maneuvres.

I'd love to join this, but it seems like a bit of a steep curve, so i need a couple of vessels, a corporation name and flag (also some lore), is that it?

Well the lore isn't necessary, as there's no role playing anyway.

Go to people's company pages in our signatures and download some warships. Use those to understand how things are constructed. For your first battle, try playing against someone else who's new. I'd battle you, but last time I did that, my ships were too advanced, and my opponent didn't have any fun.

Whats the fun in others ships? Im making my own, how large should a fleet be? Im just messing around atm

What I meant was use them to steal tech. lol

Battles have a mass limit. Try to build at least one ship for every couple of ten ton increments. That way you can fill in any leftover tonnage with smaller ships.

Try to keep the part count under around 400. Lots of parts means lots of lag. 400 parts really pushes most of our machines and makes lag.

D/v was the biggest, and a huge, advantage but I still have the MAC design on my side.IE.They do not affect the total velocity of the craft. Also here's the Persist. Not much happened,I fired from far too close and the weapons did no damage to either themselves or Warlock.

So I restocked the Broadsword for return to combat.

Javelin remains in orbit.

I think I might have one-upped that.

I regret not leaving the landing gear on.

A basic fleet should consist of.

-Fighter(usually ranges from 9-12 tons)

-Destroyer(usually ranges from 65-75 tons)

-Cruiser(Usually ranges from 120-140 tons)

-Carrier(ranging from below 100 to over 400 tons)

-Carrier fighter(usually below 6 tons)

Then you fill in the blanks where needed.

Well the lore isn't necessary, as there's no role playing anyway.

The mods weren't very happy about it.

400 parts total fleet i would assume? Whats the normal tonnage per battle? Or the average, thanks for the friendly help!

400 each actually, especially Zekes' old stuff.300 tons total allows for a variety of ships but not too many as to take too long.

Dammit I've overridden my persist file:(.
