So there's a thread on Reddit discussing gaming communities (LINK) and I obviously had nominate KSP.

Seems like a lot of Reddit people agree

Refreshing to find a troll-free gaming community for a change...

KSP community is the best I've found, bar none. Not the PC building community, not the car building community, not even in the banking community. The patience and support that is shown on a daily basis to pure strangers should be commended, continually. From 10-year-olds to seniors, I have not found a random sampling of people more mature and helpful than I have found here.

Well said, gentlemen. Of most of the forum communities I've been on, it's rare to find one that is this polite and helpful. Particularly in the gaming world.

During my entire stay here i've encountered only one person i could honestly label as a troll. That is simply amazing
