Sir, Your Asteroid Has Been Delivered - to KSP

Class B Asteroid, found loafing around earth -- I mean Kerbin. Captured, placed into orbit, then landed at KSP.

Now I'm going to build a rover to grab it and move it closer to the VAB so the Kerbals can just sit in their offices and gawk at it.

I haven't detached the recovery vehicle parts yet. I'm afraid when I do it will just roll into the ocean.

You went to earth? Cool. Thats what I call a redirect mission..

That is a sweet vehicle for it. But be sure to quarantine that rock for a while so as to be sure you didn't bring any alien organisms that may cause your Kerbals to build and pilot smarter.

Yes, the Kerbals have been instructed to refrain from licking the object, although selfies while leaning against it are still allowed.

Well, I tried it, but when I released all the attached modules, they blocked its path.

I think I'll have to wait until Infernal Robotics is updated before I can build something to move it though.

SKip the rover. Build a jet powered hover plane with a grabber on the botom. Arm the grabber, land on the roid and pick it up Either fly it their directly or have a rover with a basket shape and drop the rock into the basket and drive over. KAS might also be an option if you want to build a very large mobile gantry crane.

I managed to get one onto the roof of the VAB, but I totally cheated and used MechJeb for the landing autopilot.

KSC has a much better reference:

KSC = Kerbal Space Center, AND:

KSC = Kennedy Space Center.

I wonder what would happen if you crashed an asteroid into one of the buildings. Are they indestructible?
