how can i get fid of white pixels

take a look at this screenshot, white pixels around lv-n engines and some other parts

i get this a lot when i look at my rockets from some distance.

how can this be fixed?

Just comes along with the package. Is it really that much of a problem? Try putting some lights on your ship, (with colors) and then zoom in a bit. You'll at least be entertained rather than annoyed.

This is a result of the sun light interacting imperfectly with the edge of the ship. This can be fixed by cranking up the anti-aliasing setting if your computer can handle it.

The devs have said themselves that they're not done with the graphics yet.

So sadly, you're gonna have to live with it for now.

I mean it's Unity and DX9. You can't be too picky.

Huh. I have always run the game with anti-aliasing off and I have never seen these white pixel artifacts. I sometimes get white dots showing on terrain seams, but not on spacecraft.

I'm not saying that's what causes the problem, but it might be worth a try. I turned it off eons ago after reading a thread up here about tweaking graphics. Someone said the Unity anti-aliasing might conflict with most on-board graphics card anti-aliasing.

Both are true

At zero anti-aliasing, you get zero white spots.

At very high anti-aliasing, you get spots but they are tiny and smudged into the smoothing of the line, no visible.

at 2x anti-aliasing, you get sparkles.

Also, at 2x anti-aliasing, parachute lines become quite psychedelic, if you have enough of them jammed together!

(and cause catastrophic memory loss, if you mixx drogues and large regulars. dunno why)

The matter is, for some reason the game sometimes draws antialiased pixels as if there's no shadow cast on the background against which they are antialiased. That's why they appear bright.

Not only does it stop white pixels, but it also gives the game more beautiful graphics.
