Tweaking mono propellant in VAB

Ok, i have made a custom part with like max 10000 unit of mono.propellant.

In VAB, i can tweak the amount at +/- 1000 intervals, can i change the interval to like +/- 500?? and how if so?

As far as I know, all VAB tweaking is at levels of 10% of the part's capacity. It seems to be something in the game engine. Maybe a VAB mod does what you want?
