I just installed this, and I'm having similar problems to others with the Service Module Adapters not decoupling properly. I'm using the top node which is insanely hard to place, but it doesn't seem to want to decouple. It has the decouple option in the staging stack, but not on right-click or in the action group menus in VAB.

Perhaps a solution here might be to give the engines their own auto-shroud for use with other decouplers. I managed to get something working with a KW Rocketry decoupler, although it doesn't look as clean or sturdy as your adapter, it at least decouples properly.

I also noticed that the fairings are crooked by default (this may be my install somehow, I've noticed a similar problem with some of KW's parts), I have to turn them to get them to attach. Also, they're a bit too long at 3.75M for some reason, they extend beyond the Service Module Adapter.

Have you installed the latest version? Because I remember I have added node toggling but if I haven't added the toggling on the service decoupler, tell me so. The decoupler isn't stageable by default (just like SDHI) but it CAN be bound in the group actions (mine works). On the Fairing Issue, I remember that when 0.23.5 landed or was it 0.24, I don't remember, the whole VAB have been rotated 90 degrees to the right. All of the fairings work like that as well.

have you begun or plan to sever your dependencies to SDHI at some point in the future because i have been having trouble with SDHI parts(nullrefs have made them and a wide range of other parts from other mods i have unusable) although your parts eem to do fine for some reason so just wondering...

Oh, so that's what those options are for. Can you add something in the part's description for newbies like me?

EDIT: You're right, the adapter can be bound in group actions. I meant to say the Service Decouplers can't, nor can the heat shields. Aren't those supposed to be detachable?

EDIT2: The adapter's decouple action doesn't work for me. Its top node is attached to the service module, and I activated the decouple action in orbit when nothing else was attached to it, and it stayed on.

Ah, I am sorry for being quiet because I haven't checked for a long time since Im busy and not modding yet.

The Service Module Adapters will attach on engines they are meant for - Use the Node Toggle, the top is always the one attached to the engines and decouples, and the bottom is always the one where it is not decoupling.

Service Decouplers can't be decoupled by Staging and can only be decoupled using right click to prevent accidental decoupling (like SDHI)

Heatshields aren't supposed to be decoupled.

Regarding the description instructions, nobody reads that :P

Edit:

This was meant to work with SDHI but it can stand on its own pretty much (fully on Taurus Parts), I really never intend to rip-off Sumghai's work so it is far from possible, the dependencies aren't as heavy as SDHI since my parts don't have things such as Inflatables and RealChutes because I don't have paradocks. I would bet that issues would arise once I make the same parts.

Well, gonna try and try making that adapter decouple the service module away from the Cryo stage.

Then I might pass the .crafts for you, to make a fixed .craft file download

I have tested on my own installation as well. If you are using the latest version, would you mind installing it again (delete the previous version). Also, be sure that you deactivate the bottom node before you attach to the engine. Mine works so I am wondering why yours isn't and so far nobody seemed to be reporting the issue since Node Toggling.

Okay I'm gonna redownload later. I have to finish rendezvousing and docking one station part to my new space station.

Or if all else fails, I can just reconfigure the default SDHI SM adapter to use your models.

(Also to mind, I have deleted the TaurusExtras folder since I don't have (and wound'nt want to) Taurus. Any important things for everything in there?)

EDIT:

I havn't put those other folders included in the .zip because then are included in B9 Aerospace R5. Any other important mod configs those folders?

I'm gonna try to put them later (overwriting the things in this also included in B9)

Deleting the TaurusExtras folder is fine since it was made to be deletable for those who don't use it. B9 files are most likely other plugins that B9 and Aerojet use so whichever is used is fine. Reinstalling the AerojetKerbodyne folder is what you must do and we will see what will happen.

Also, my ModuleManager version is 2.4.4. The included in the zip is 2.2.1.

Will this cause any problems?

Edit: Is it fine that I delete the TaurusExtras folder after putting the AJ folder again?

As said, more updated MM is fine. Deleting the TaurusExtras folder is fine as well.
