Caernavon-class Frigate

This is a capital ship based on the Wing Commander IV's Frigate. All stock parts. Thanks to the new NASA parts, it made launching this frigate possible. With this Frigate, you could dock Mun landers and such to it then send the ship to the Mun.

There are three separate components that make up the Frigate

I've yet to test the actual ship itself, but I plan to send things up to the Frigate such as the Kerbal Attachment System to keep it from wobbling as I steer it...

Update on the Frigate

Just added a couple of strut connectors from the Kerbal Attachment System to keep the ship's components from wobbling. I sent a "Utility" craft to provide some connectors and fuel.

I also decided to see if the Kaernavon could make a flyby to the Mun and it did.

Took forever, but managed to get the Kaernavon back to Kerbin

The Frigate has returned!

With that flyby, the next phase will be to load a couple of landers or small Mun bases to the Kaernavon and drop them off at the Mun.
