Operation TED

For SCIENCE

What is Operation TED?

Operation TED (OT for short) is KASA's mission to grab an asteroid, put it into a (fairly) circular orbit, and then build a small "hotel" on it.

Why is OT named TED?

Ted is going to be the name of the asteroid. Ted isnt an acronym. KASA felt like Ted needed to be capitalised.

When will it be complete?

OT should be complete in its entirety in about 3 days. We have to pick the right asteroid.

What size asteroid are you going for?

Something between A-C Class sized asteroids. These will be easy to pull into a (fairly) circular orbit using only RCS.

BUT... WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you have any ideas, let us know!

Make sure you pick an asteroid that's on an impact trajectory with KSP, so you can easely move it into aerobreak height

It would take a motherlode of monopropellants and RCS ports. ._.

Far less than you'd expect actually, if you properly aerobreak.

That said, you can actually easely push asteroids. Right click it let you target it's COM. Make sure your rocket is perfectly alligned with the COM, and you can safely push it

Why build a hotel on an asteroid when you can throw a few pods connected together, in orbit around kerbin?

Anyways I'm actually gonna be doing waht I said, that founds pretty fun. But I do like your idea though, make sure to add screenshots.
