Screaming Kerbals

Recommended Posts

As I was launching Bob for the first supersonic flight of my new campaign, I thought it would be really funny if you could hear him freaking out as he is propelled into the stratosphere

I was thinking that, having heard the sounds which Kerbals make in the videos which the developers have made, they would be really amusing making muppet inspired noises whilst in flight, with Jeb giving approving murmurs while on other occasions Bill and Bob scream, whilst mission controllers interject occasionally.

We're going for the landing, bill jeb and bob AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! That would get annoying but it's a good and funny idea, But it'd be hard to make it where they don't get glitches and start yelling even if we're in an orbit doing absolutely nothing.

Hmmm

Surely you could mute it with a small radio panel

Also it is true that this would get annoying if it happened all the time but I think it could be coded such that it would have less things causing screaming

I'd say if it's too complex link the Kerbals behaviour to the amount of G forces they experience

Re entry flames could also trigger screaming

how about just have them scream (or laugh) only during ascents and landings and after you complete(assuming you do) these maneuvers the kerbals would just make loud breathing sounds (except for jeb) and still be capable of turning the noise off

Not only no but Hell No! This would take approximately 0.1 seconds to become mega annoying and send me looking for a way to turn it off permanently.

Well then make it a toggle able thing. I think it would be okay to here them sometimes, not screaming crazily but maybe when in space:

Like when they look around in space and actually feel happy: "oooooh-aaaaaah" or something.

And hearing Bob whimpering?
