Can't use whack a kerbal

hello, today my jool super explorer had a bit of a problem when they realised that they forgot decouplers from the tranfer stage so in a atempt to fix it they used whack a kerbal but there was one problem MMB just moves the camera so we are now stuck with a rocket with 12,000 delta-v in orbit around jool that can't do anything.How do you remove the camera button? or is there another way to get it working?

It's bugged as all get out. You'll have to restart the game, hit the space center and go immediately to your vessel. If you've been playing for any length of time, or have switched ships, it stops working. =(
